Hello! This is the page where I will be archiving content related to multi-Talented folk musician Lindsay Powell and her defunct project Cake Bake Betty
DUE TO RECENT DEVELOPMENTS, LINDSAY GOES BY THEY/SHE PRONOUNS AND THIS ARCHIVE WILL BE UPDATED ACCORDINGLY.
Cake Bake Betty was a musical project started around 2004 by Lindsay Powell. In 2004 they self-released a demo EP called Rebecca & Betty's Songs About Teeth which was later finished and released in 2006 as "Songs About Teeth" and was distributed through the label Infinity Cat Recordings. [There is still an effectively lost EP titled Ears & All released in 2005. If you know about this, PLEASE send me an Email]. They went on to make one more album while signed to ICR in 2008 called "To The Dark Tower". Most notably, they toured with ICR's punk band Be Your Own PET among other label-sharing artists like JEFF The Brotherhood. In around 2010 they would phase out the name Cake Bake Betty and move on to better projects. Their new project is still active and is called Fielded. Please check out their Instagram here!
During 2004-2012 they were also in three other bands as a vocalist. Most of which with members of other bands signed to ICR like JEFF The Brotherhood. Ga'an: a "zeuhl" prog rock band with three albums titled "Ga'an", "1", and "Black Equus". SKYBLAZER: a psych-prog band with a single album titled "Album". FESTIVAL: a folk duo project with their sister with a single album titled "Come, Arrow, Come" ***
